Save time and money with eSponse
XEC means eXtensible E-messaging Communications. It is the convergence of database technology with email communications
to produce filtered content that is personalized and delivered in an appropriate format. Inherent to this technology
is XML, eXtensible Markup Language. The diagram below shows the XEC architecture. Click on a function within
the diagram to see additional detail.

Profile
The Profile Database stores information relevant to each recipient.
This profile information is used to establish criteria by which message content is filtered
and assembled by the Content Generator. An XML wrapper is incorporated into the data, which
adds an increased level of type independence and data portability.
|
|
Opt-in Subscription
eSponse provides web pages for recipients of email to optionally self-administer
their permission-based subscriptions and profile information. The Opt-in Subscription component, the
only XEC component exposed to recipients, can be customized for a consistent effect.
|
|
Work-In-Process
Email content can consist of a number of different types of objects - images, text, and attachments
to name a few. All objects are scrubbed for viruses. To insure the quality of message content, WIP allows content
authors to test their work prior to general release to their audiences.
|
|
Content Generator
The Content Generator filters data and assembles objects from the XML
database to produce personalized content. The appropriate format is selected based upon the
recipients profile e.g. HTML, PDF, WML, AOL Text, or as a hosted web page.
|
|
Email Distributor
The Email Distributor encodes commands for the Response Analyzer, insures
delivery to the email system, allows for error handling, and updates the recipient's profile for
Tracking.
|
|
Email Formats
XEC supports a number of today's formats and is eXtensible for the
future. Formats include, but are not limited to, HTML, PDF, WML, XML, AOL Text, and
attachments.
|
|
Page Hosting
To augment content distributed via email or for content that is
too voluminous for email distribution, XEC provides a Page Hosting service for web-based message
dissemination.
|
|
Response Analyzer
The Response Analyzer monitors the email distribution process and tracks
undeliverable email. Undeliverable email addresses are packaged in report format and sent to the
author. The Response Analyzer also updates the recipient's profile for Tracking.
|
|
Tracking
Authors can query the Profile Database for any recipient-related information. This
facility also provides an upload/download feature from/to existing databases which maintains the
integrity of self-administered profile information.
